Florence Neurosurgery & Spine is involved with the following charity work:
Childrens Miricle Network
Children's Miracle Network is the alliance of premier children's hospitals. Every year, Children's Miracle Network hospitals treat 17 million children for every disease and injury imaginable.
When 10 year-old Dagmawi Solomon had a brain tumor that was about to take his life, he and his father were brought to Florence through the Florence Rotary Club Gift of Life Program. Dr Andrew Rhea and Dr. William Naso of Florence Neurosurgery and Spine performed the surgery. After a period of recovery and convalescence, Dagmawi returned to his home in Ethiopia.
The Gift of Life Program, which began in 1975, is today a worldwide Rotary International Service Program.
